Babylon Restaurant
The brand new Babylon Restaurant, the premier Mediterranean cuisine in the city, is strategically located off Jalan Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur. It is an evidence of the success story of its first outlet located at Jalan Bukit Bintang founded in year 2008. Contemporary and stylishly modern in design, the entrance of the new Babylon is paved with polished marbles, curtained with unique glass wall and further accentuated by contemporary crystal chandeliers and designer lightings. Surrounding the theatrical ambience, the interior walls are meticulously adorned with fine selection of Arabic wall art and paintings, reminiscent of the rich Mesopotamian civilization. Patron’s dining experience is further enhanced by the deep hues of brown and gold of which the chairs are upholstered using rich fabrics complemented by the lively surroundings of tomato red, pea green and tan leather; creating a dining area of modernist simplicity balanced with rich extravagance. Dining options available at the Babylon include two levels of dining area of kitchen-style interior with two private rooms and three semi-private enclaves. The semi-private alcoves are separated from the main dining area to enable one to be secluded and yet be able to see the activities in the restaurant. For those who prefer outdoor dining, the Babylon has a courtyard for alfresco dining on the ground floor and first floor, where guests can take pleasure in their meals while admiring the breathtaking view of the lush tropical gardens. For the more music-inclined diners, there is a live music corner with piano and guitar performances. Unlike other restaurants, Babylon offers guests a variety of healthy, high-quality Mediterranean items with great emphasis on flavour, freshness and authenticity. The extensive menu offers authentic Mediterranean and Middle Eastern delicacies that include but are not limited to: A variety of salads, soups, appetizers, kebabs, vegetarian items, grilled meats, poultry and combination plates. Diners also have the flexibility to customize every meal with items such as hummus, tabouleh, fattoush, moutabel, naan bread, basmati rice, sauces and dressings. All Babylon’s salads and sauces are prepared fresh daily. Offering a unique dining experience, diners will get to tantalize all their senses with the Babylon’s signature fish delicacy, Maskuf, where they hear the sizzles, smell and view the fresh fish meat slowly smoked till flaky-perfect in front of their own eyes. With a total combined seating capacity of 250 persons complemented with extra facilities such as a VIP Room furnished with private karaoke system, pool room and children playground, Babylon Restaurant is certainly an ideal venue catering for intimate, wedding or large parties for family and corporate alike.
