Nam Chau White Coffee 南洲白咖啡
posted www.applefoodees.com 229 ReviewsThere are two versions of curry noodles here – the Dry Curry Noodle @ RM12.90 and the Curry Soup Noodle @ RM12.90. Unlike the normal KL dry curry noodle whereby the noodles are mixed with soy sauce and black sauce served with a bowl of curry kuah, Nam Chau White Coffee’s version dry curry noodles are noodles mixed with thicker curry kuah. It is savory. It is spicy. If you like your curry noodles a little sour, you may also add some lime to it.
Restoran Kai Tian 開天記瓦煲肉骨茶
posted www.applefoodees.com 229 ReviewsFor the soup version, we ordered the pork ribs with some meat balls. The soup is light with very heavy garlic and herb taste. Quite good, but I prefer Lim Kee’s better. It taste nothing like the Klang’s version as the bak kut teh in Klang are mostly heavily flavoured and the soup is very much thicker.
B-Lab
posted www.applefoodees.com 229 ReviewsWe ordered the Seafood Marinara which is a tomato based pasta with an array of scallop, sea prawn, squid, white clams and slipper lobster. As you can see, BLab is quite generous in terms of the amount of seafood that they serve here. The seafood is not the tiny ones but reasonable sized ones. Taste wise, it was quite good, but I prefer the garlic chili prawn linguine more.
Greyhound Cafe
A trendy restaurant we love, offering several western style dishes, in addition to Thai food, pasta, sandwiches and many more.
posted www.applefoodees.com 229 ReviewsGreyhound Cafe Malaysia is beautifully decorated and is definitely an “Instagramable place” for Instagrammers. Will the franchise in Malaysia do well or better than the one in Thailand? Price wise, it is definitely on the high side. Food wise, it was alright. I don’t know. What say you?
Ampang Loke Yun Chicken Rice (安邦乐园鸡饭)
The chicken here is steamed and unlike some places where you'll get a chicken with a thick layer of skin & fat, Loke Yun uses very 'healthy' chicken. The layer of skin is very thin & the fat almost non existent. So health conscious diners will find this appealling.
posted www.applefoodees.com 229 ReviewsIt is no wonder people are still flocking to this place even after so many years. Loke Yun Chicken Rice has definitely lived up to its high standard that its founder, Mr. Pang Gui had passed on to the current generation.
6363 Durian Stall
posted www.applefoodees.com 229 ReviewsIt wouldn’t be fair if I were to compare the ones I bought at Chen Brothers to the ones I had at the durian buffet, considering the differences in price. All I can say is that, if you are looking for good quality D24 durians, go buy them from Chen Brothers. If you have a good appetite for a whole load of D24 durians, go to SK6363.
Ah Go Go Curry Fish Head 阿哥哥咖哩鱼头
posted www.applefoodees.com 229 ReviewsAh Go Go needs to do better if they want to stay ahead in the game. They have set the bar very high for fish head curry previously. The number of customers that night is a clear indication that the quality has dropped. I hope they would do whatever they have to do to make their fish head curry better.
Koon Kee Wantan Mee
applefoo posted www.applefoodees.com 229 ReviewsA bowl of dumplings @ RM7.50 comes with five dumplings. Though the dumplings were huge, the fillings were not as flavourful as expected.
Kim Soya Bean & Tau Fu Fa
applefoo posted www.applefoodees.com 229 ReviewsThe soya bean and tau fu fa were reasonably priced and good, no wonder there are so many people queuing for them.
Madam Tang's Mochi
applefoo posted www.applefoodees.com 229 ReviewsThere are 6 flavours – original, lychee, ribena, black sesame, mango and pandan.
Madras Lane Yong Tau Foo
applefoo posted www.applefoodees.com 229 ReviewsYou should only sit near the curry laksa stall as like any other hawker centres, they do not serve those who sit at another stalls’ tables.
Wong Ah Wah Grilled Chicken Wings
The shiny … golden … grilled chicken wing. Don’t you wish you could just reach out and grab a piece of it? Jalan Alor is a tourist attraction. With lots and lots of restaurants and stalls, it is truly a food haven.
applefoo posted www.applefoodees.com 229 ReviewsConsidering the food and drinks that we had, I expected it to be more expensive but it wasn’t.
Kasim Satay
applefoo posted www.applefoodees.com 229 ReviewsI highly recommended the beef satay if you take beef. Overall, we were quite happy with our satay.
Limapulo – Baba Can Cook
applefoo posted www.applefoodees.com 229 ReviewsNyonya Laksa is an authentic Nyonya food and should be available every day in a Nyonya restaurant. LimaPulo should consider serving Nyonya Laksa every day and scrap the other not so good food in their menu.
Mie Cord Char Koay Teow Penang
applefoo posted www.applefoodees.com 229 ReviewsMieCORD also serves other dishes such as fried rice.
