Ipoh’s famous “Big Tree’s Foot” (called Tai Shu Keok in Cantonese) which located at Pasir Pinji with a friend. Basically, this place is kinda dusty and untidy as it’s located by the roadside. The hawkers erected some canopies probably due to some complaints by customers that leaves falling from above.

Cheap and delicious yong tau foo. The red bean drink here is really good too! Skip the dragonfruit juice though, huge disappointment.
The stall is run by a old couple, the old man would make the chee cheong fun and the old lady with the help of an assistant would chopped up the chee cheong fun and top it with either green chili, fried onions, sesame seed, oil and soya sauce or with chili sauce, sweet sauce and all of the previously mentioned toppings.
It serves many varieties of fried yong tau foo like stuffed chili, brinjal, bitter gourd, fish ball, fish cakes and crispy foo chok. The fish paste is very fresh and has a springy texture. The stall also sell different types of noodles ... curry, assam laksa and even dried ones.
