Hung Wang Eating Shop
Some other notable dishes here include the boiled baby octopus, duck’s offal, steamed or deep fried fishes, and of course, you must always sample a bowl of their plain rice porridge which has been cooked to a creamy consistency and placed in a giant claypot; almost resembling a huge flow...er pot. read more

Sin yuan loong

Restoran Ikan Air Tawar Chai Chee
The meal came to almost MYR120/USD40 for the 3 of us; a premium price to pay for ‘chu char’ in Ipoh no doubt, but most of the amount was contributed by the fish (MYR72/USD24). Still, this should be a place to look out for; especially if you’re craving for a dish of steamed pak sook gong ...or Sultan fish. read more

Gossip Jazz

Purple Cane Tea House
ExceptionalThe concept of this eatery is what i find most compelling. My lunch was good and satisfying. I truly enjoyed the surrounding, the zen-like feel and the idea of a tea house. Right next to where we sat were displays of various types of teas and tea pots on sale, and all things tea. Recomme...nded... read more
