Granny's Cottage (外婆家)
Prices are certainly considered wallet-friendly and reasonable at Gurney Plaza.

Din Tai Fung Restaurant (鼎泰豐)
Truffle Xiao Long Bao on the other hand, had a soft hint of earthy Mushroomy flavor imbued but the dumpling skin was a disappointment. Probably first day jitters but there some areas that they should really look into.

Wong Kok Char Chan Teng
Wong Kok is a place which is famous among Penang people for its pastries.
Price-wise, was okay, considering the huge portion served, but unfortunately, there will be 10% service charge added to your bill.

I Love Yoo
ExceptionalNow this franchise is not new, neither is it only confined to central Malaysia but there are more than 30 outlets all over Malaysia now. I Love Yoo brings the traditional Chinese breakfast and tea time favourites in a modern cafe setting, and it does it rather well even though if given t...he chance I will still jump at the chance to have "you tiao" at my nearest local market for breakfast. read more

Max Gourmet Restaurant
The best place to go, for a cheap, good and reasonably fast meal. Good place to go if you want variety. Very reasonable price too!!! And they're an affiliate of Maxim Dim Sum.
Price wise, the two rice dish that we ordered were really not value for money. The portion was not even average, the ingredients were little and the rice in one of them were even cold and hard, like rice left over night in the fridge.

Squidto (黄金賊)
Squidto at Gurney Plaza, overall their squid is special and I can said that it is one of the best deep fried squid we ate before. Squid deep fried to perfection without any chewy texture while the full of flavor rice stuff inside is just delicious.

Ko Fu Loft Restaurant
The wall of the restaurant name made up of a lots of small steamer baskets which are used to steam dim sum like har kau, siew mai, pau and etc.
Overall, the dim sum was not favoured by my parents. I guess the restaurant had to buck up quick as later on there would be more competitors. They are coming up with a new menu in a few weeks time.

Famous Bowl (旺盅宝)
Improvements on service needed, the waiter whom served me seemed to be very impatient from the questions I've asked.
