In my humble opinion, this BKT, which is closest to the corner, which is now a very modern Mamak Place, is better than the one next door [without mentioning names for fear of libel or slander – which is catering more for tourists]. The owner [elderly gentleman at the cash counter is actually Ho Poh Hakka], but the daughter-in-law cooking the BKT is Teochew. But dialects aside, [speaking as a Hokkien] the BKT is very, very, good. As with authentic BKT places, get to be a regular, then let the lady daughter-in-law [she would have given you her mobile number if you are a regular] know the day before, so she will get you fresh pork cutlets or meat to your choice, to be cooked separately in your own claypot. So you do not have to have to consume from the common general public pot [get the picture]. Do try.
