One of the very few Izakayas around in Kuala Lumpur, Shuraku is an unpretentious, cozy, hidden gem, a favourite among the Japanese community and locals alike. Izakayas; Japanese pubs that serve food as sharing plates to accompany the drinks, are popular for after-work drinking. The sister outlet to the more bold and adventurous Daikanyama at Changkat Bukit Bintang, Shuraku takes a more mellow approach to it's offering. Employing traditional Japanese cuisine methods to deliver authentic dishes to match the range of Japanese sakes; nihonshu, shochu & umeshu as well as beers and traditional Japanese cocktails, that fill you up at family dinners or as you kick back and let loose with friends. Housed on the 2nd floor of a nondescript shoplot in Solaris Mont Kiara, Shuraku plays brilliantly with space, from the yakibar to the outdoor balcony, there's definitely a nook to suit your liking, mood and style.
