    Bumbu Bali @ Bandar Puteri Puchong, Puchong, Selangor  Waterlily, Buddy-Buddy and Bumbu Bali are actually under the same management or shall I say family owner? Bumbu refers to herbs of Bali. It was run by the owner, Eddy and his Bali wife.

    Bon Bon's Cafe, Durian Cake @ Damansara Jaya, Petaling Jaya, Selangor  Famous for its durian cakes, and only available during durian season with good quality durians. Generous chunks of delicious durian flesh interlaced with feather-light whipped cream in between layers of cottony soft sponge.

    K3K Kopitiam @ Damansara Perdana, Petaling Jaya, Selangor  The display was like back to 70’s, Chinese style. Environment was nice, playing oldies in the shop. It is a comfy place to chat for heart to heart.

    Restoran Hoppy @ Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya, Selangor  Hoppy Restaurant is originated from Johor Bahru. It was started by a Chan family in the 1980s. Hoppy has become popular the past two decades due to its traditional recipes for making herbal roasted duck in three styles -- Szechuan-styled or with ginseng and dong guai (both Chinese herbs). They are good in seafood and home cooked dishes. You can always see that this place is jammed pack with buses and buses of tourists if you dine in.

    The Waterlily Cafe @ Pusat Perdagangan IOI, Puchong Jaya, Puchong, Selangor  They serve barbeque stuff, nasi lemak and mee. They are really great in barbeque stuff. It's never too dry or raw.

    Blue Dragon @ Taman Cheras, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur  The environment is nice especially the first floor, but only open after 6pm. The food is all presentable and placed in a nice way.

    Hakka Pork Mee Stall @ Jalan Pudu, Kuala Lumpur  Lard, of course, is the key, but it's more than fat that draws the crowds to this spot (we drove by at 8am on a Sunday - packed. We returned to eat three hours later - packed).

Their ikan bilis are very crunchy and yet salty. Their chicken is quite tender.You can only take this if you can really take very spicy food as their sambal is really spicy.

They have some imported sauce on the table which includes mustard, chilli sauce, and tomato sauce. There are over 100 items to try here so I guess it will take awhile to try out everything even if you come here once a week.

    Subang Teow Chew Claypot Bak Kut Teh @ Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam, Selangor  it’s served in claypots, hence you only get to select the serving size (depending on the headcount) and what extra ingredients to add or not to .. i.e. mushrooms, dried bean curd skins etc. Then there’s the extras such as steamed vegetable dishes and there’s even Assam Fish (didn’t order that one though).

    Beard Papa’s Cream Puff, Cream Puff @ Mid Valley Megamall, Mid Valley City, Lingkaran Syed Putra, Kuala Lumpur  The cream is not heavy. It won't make you feel pukey. It’s not super sweet, nor super greasy. It's superb yummy. Heard that people are queueing up to buy this, but it's not that popular here in Malaysia yet.

    Ampang Food House, Fish Head Meehoon @ Plaza Ampang, Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur  A bowl brimming over with deep-fried chunks of fish head, beehoon (thin rice noodles), pieces of tomato, soft tofu, and tender napa cabbage, all in a subtle fish (and pork?) broth flavored with spring onion, thick slices of ginger, and deep-fried shallots, and mellowed with milk. A saucer of fresh chili slices was served on the side.
