liyenz reviewed Coffee Amo @ Jalan Sultan

Good
They have quite wide range of coffee and teas for visitors to choose and they do offer food as well. They suggested me to try their signature’s coffee. I cannot recall if I ordered the Sweet 13, Rose Garden or the Ocean 11. However, they make the 3D art on top of the drink. It is their gimmick. My personal opinion is the coffee taste same as any normal coffee. Rose Garden has the rose bud taste. For food, we ordered some cakes and a pie to share as lunch. The food is pretty delicious.

liyenz reviewed JENERIS by Ahren @ Kuala Lumpur Sentral

Good
I am not sure what to order so I asked them to recommend and I got Rose Latte. I personally like to drink latte, however Rose Latte tasted slightly bitter to my taste bud. It is okay to be a little bitter for coffee

liyenz reviewed Eight Ounce Coffee @ The Gardens mall

So so
Mid Valley, the Eight Ounce Coffee cafe’s drink selection is pretty limited and so does its seating because it is located at the corridor between Mid Valley and The Gardens Mall. As usual, I ordered the coffee Latte and nothing much to shout out here. For hot drink, they serve us with a cup of plain water too. My friend ordered a cake, Oreo with Mint.

liyenz reviewed Yokozuna Japanese Dining Restaurant @ Fraser Place

So so
This restaurant was my first restaurant I invited my friends to join me to try as part of my food hunting and blogging project. I bought the vouchers from the Internet in which this restaurant offered their set lunch/dinner at a reasonable price. It consisted of 1 main dish, a bowl of rice, a cup of chawanmushi, a bowl of miso soup and fruit. They also offered free flow of green tea. It was a complete bento set lunch. The dining experience here was just so-so only. There was no crowd during our visit on Saturday’s afternoon for lunch. The quality and taste of food are average. The ambiance is super quiet.

liyenz reviewed Sweet Chat @ Mid Valley Megamall

Rhapsody Rice is glutinous rice with cubed mushrooms and chicken meat. It is a simple dish with pretty nice presentation. It comes with two big mushrooms and vegetable. Simple and delicious too.

liyenz reviewed Shihlin Taiwan Snacks @ The Gardens

Good
If you want to try out the giant size of crispy fried chicken, you do not have to go as far as Taiwan, you can find it at Shilin Taiwan Street Snack. The shop is located at many places around KL, Selangor and other states in Malaysia. I tried this Happy! Ricebox Set. It consisted of a XXL crispy fried chicken, cut and spread on top of the white rice, accompanying with smooth cold tofu topped with diced century egg. On top of that, they put some oyster sauce and some spring onions on top. It is a good combination of hot and cold dish. This is how the whole set looks like. Do not look down at its portion. I do feel full after finishing it because of the soya bean milk which is quite filling after drinking it.

liyenz reviewed Pancake House @ Mid Valley Megamall

Good
I went to the Pancake House, which is located at 1st floor of Mid Valley. I went there during my lunch time with my friend. After going through its menu, we decided to go for something light and simple for two persons.

liyenz reviewed Secret Recipe @ Suria KLCC

Good
We ordered the set lunch, the Vietnamese beefy noodle and Western chicken chop with mushroom sauce. It comes with a drink of your choice. The beef noodle's soup is great and aromatic. The chicken chop is tender and goes well with the amount of mushroom sauce given.

Good
I tried a few dishes from this restaurant and liked the curry laksa. It does have other dishes which are simple and delicious.

liyenz reviewed Noodle Station Restaurant @ Mid Valley Megamall

The food is nice, but they need to improve their services, I find it a little slow. And the noodle portion should be improved too.

To add on, we ordered the Pajeon as well. It is a very satisfying dinner with a group of great people.

liyenz.wordpress.com
liyenz reviewed Luk Yu Tea House 陸羽茶館 @ Starhill

It is very quite after the lunch hour. The restaurant is still serving dim sum even it is after lunch hour. The setting of the restaurant is very Chinese style and you can choose to sit inside or outside of the restaurant.
liyenz.wordpress.com
liyenz reviewed Nadeje Cake House @ Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall

Good
A famous mille crepe cake house in Malacca which is also listed as one of the must visit place in Malacca. I tried a few flavour such as original, milk tea, lemon cheese, caramel and rum and raisin. I did not try the lemon cheese, however, I guess it is pretty nice. The milk tea is similar to the normal milk tea drink. Besides serving cakes, this restaurant does offer main dishes and drinks too.
liyenz.wordpress.com
liyenz reviewed Pasta Zanmai @ Mid Valley Megamall

Superb
I ordered the Scallop Mushroom Pasta. Go for a small size if you order other side dishes because I feel the regular size is quite a lot. Again, the taste was quite okay. Nothing much to shout out. Prawn Tempura Pasta with Sesame Sauce. I feel this pasta is quite interesting. The amount of sesame sauce cannot be too much. This was just right. It served with two tempura prawns. However, the Teriyaki Chicken to Onsen Tamago no Pizza was a little bit on its downside. It could have been better if the egg was done to perfection. It did not flow out of the yolk like it should have, otherwise the experience would have been better.

liyenz reviewed Kedai Kopi Chung Wah @ Jalan Hang Jebat

I do not understand why it is so famous and people must queue for this shop.
liyenz.wordpress.com
liyenz reviewed Restoran Capitol Satay @ Lorong Bukit Cina

Thick, original and authentic satay sauce. Although, it is pricey and long hours of queuing, it is still satisfying.
liyenz.wordpress.com
liyenz reviewed Jonker 88 @ Jalan Hang Jebat (Jonker Street)

Crowded at most of its time. Not an ideal place if you late for your lunch as you have to queue and wait for a seat. The shop is very small.

liyenz reviewed Ah Cheng Laksa @ The Curve Shopping Centre

Good
An authentic local food. The Nasi Lemak with Ayam Rendang is really nice, authentic. The nasi lemak is very aromatic with their sambal, It comes with half of the boiled egg and anchovies. The sambal is not spicy, the rendang ayam is tasteful and I get the drumstick.

liyenz reviewed Ah Cheng Laksa @ The Summit Subang USJ

Worth to try their nasi lemak and assam laksa.

liyenz reviewed Urbean @ Avenue K

Good
Spiced Latte. It is something extraordinary. The taste is acceptable, with the smell of Cinnamon or other spices. If you do not prefer those spices smell, I would suggest you to drink the normal Latte or other type of coffee. The environment at this restaurant is nice and great place for chit chat. Although the cafe is quite small, it still can accommodate about 20 patrons. They do sell cakes and other main courses.

I chose to have Curry Chicken with Rice. It came with a fried egg and a glass of Iced Lemon Tea. The curry sauce was tasted quite okay with fried chicken. The portion may look little but it was quite filling after finished it with the drink.

liyenz reviewed Paya Serai @ Hilton Petaling Jaya Hotel

Good
I would say, this Nasi Goreng Kampung is pretty big portion. With a piece of fried chicken, two big prawns, two sticks of satay and a fried egg on top of the fried rice, it was very filling. I quite like their fried rice, it is a little spicy, a truly Kampung style.
liyenz.wordpress.com
liyenz reviewed Shin Kee Beef Noodles Specialist (新九如牛肉粉) @ Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock

Good
The beef balls are fresh and springy when you eat it. Unlike some of the beef balls which are either powdery and hard to eat. The texture is different than another famous beef noodle called, Soong Kee also. You can order either soup or dry with your choices of noodles. The broth is clear and tasty. I did not feel thirsty after finishing the soup :) I prefer the dry beef noodle and so I can mix it with the minced meat. The generous amount of minced meat can mix well with any type of noodle. Overall, it is not too oily, just look okay when I mix with the kway teow.

liyenz reviewed New Restaurant Ipoh Chicken Rice @ Lingkaran Syed Putra

So so
Ambience : It has two storey, if you are in big group, you can go to upstairs. Overall, it is quite and not crowded. Rating : 1/5. For me, it is just a normal food that we can get in food court which does not need to come with such a high price. It is overpriced.

liyenz reviewed Canton-i @ The Gardens @ The Gardens

Exceptional
Canton-I is just like any other Hong Kong style’s restaurants, offers mainly Hong Kong delicacies such as roasted pork, barbecue pork, wanton noodle and etc. At Canton-I, you can find roasted duck too. I ordered the Shrimps Wanton Noodle and I tried to compare it with the few wanton noodles that I have tried in Hong Kong. The number of shrimps wanton is the same as the normal wanton noodle that we can find in Hong Kong. Four pieces of big shrimps wanton. It was fresh, crispy and well tasted.
