Din Tai Fung is a popular, award-winning chain restaurant, originating from Taiwan.

DTF’s dishes continue to meet expectations, though not all dishes reviewed are enjoyable. But at least 80% made the cut.

People making the xiu long baos in the open kitchen look rather local and "amateur", after all this is a dish originating from Shanghai, so maybe a more foreign face could do the trick. Dishes are still unavailable but its pretty much a good alternative to Dragon I as they offer some different dishes and since both of them are in Mid Valley. Din Tai Fung serves “Siau Long Pau”, little dumplings filled with either pork, crab meat, shrimp or mushrooms and alittle brooth. The place was not to bad, food came quickly, taste was good, a little pricy, but worth it.

We are really surprise by the creativity to convert sautéed Xiao Long Bao into dessert, Xiao Lon Bao fill with Red Bean and Chocolate that has really nice combine flavor. Sweetness from Red Bean and bitter taste from Chocolate really make a good combination.

Most of the servings are decorated with water chestnut leaves and small size tomatoes. Besides that, the staff were very attentive and we did not have to wait long for the food.

In Dragon-i’s Treasure Pot, the 18 ‘treasures’ include Chilean abalone, Japanese dried scallops, Japanese dried oysters, Premium Sea cucumber, prawns, roast chicken, braised pork belly, Golden money bags, fish maw, goose web, pork balls, mushrooms, black moss, dried beancurd skin, deep fried beancurd skin and bamboo pith. These ingredients are cooked in their special Pork Bone Broth.

That's all we ordered for the day and total bill came up to less than RM40.00. Again, quite pricey, but worth it.

If you notice, the dishes here are a little more expensive than the usual franchise restaurant, but the food is truly fabulous. It's by far one of the best Chinese cuisine I truly recommend.

Restaurant Chef Loong (龙师傅)

Business Hour 11am - 3pm and 6pm - 11pm (Monday Off)

A Chinese restaurant which serves Shanghai Dimsum. We called it "Loong Si Fu".

I am talking about eating out at restaurant and not economy rice of course. So why not eat something worth your money and also good at the same time. Other than the above, they have ten over sets for you to choose from.

Cuisines Chinese Shanghai

A Chinese restaurant serving a wide range of Shanghai cuisines like Dim Sums, “La Miens”, steam rice, shanghai dishes, snacks & etc The environment is well designed, try to give you real China (or probably Shanghai) feels...

I did walk away satisfied with my lunch and will definitely be going back again.

Good

Been here twice, it's not bad with some specialty like fried rice noodle (interesting, spicy, but too oily). Not crowded most of the time. Prices: * Noodle: RM 7.50 * Fried Rice Noodle: RM 8.90 * Soya Bean: RM 2.50

The food were so-so only. Well, everything has their first time. Pay to taste and that's it.
